craft shows

I love craft shows but rarely get to go to one. This Saturday a friend took me to one and i was
shocked to find that only 1 vendor was selling AG clothes.And all she had was stuff for modern dolls. She said the historical stuff didn't sell. The last time i was at a show at least 6 sellers had nothing but AG stuff. I hope this doesn't mean that AG is less popular.

On the positive side, it could be that the modern American Girl items sell better because they're not as much a niche market item. For selling historical clothing, they have to bet an owner of a Felicity doll, for example, will visit their booth. With the modern dolls, they just need anyone with an 18" doll to stop by.

Maybe the other vendors didn't adapt to the market, and just decided not to carry anything, rather than realize that modern clothing would sell more readily.

Hopefully next time you go, people will be back. [img]smile.gif[/img] Do the booths normally seem to have a lot of visitors when you see them there?

In the past these booths were very crowded. This time i seemed to be the only one buying. I wonder if a lot of vendors have switched to ebay rather then traveling to craft shows.
